Violet, Broadway, 2014

Emma’s second Broadway production in 2013 was in the Original Broadway Cast of Roundabout Theater’s production of ‘Violet’ featuring the three-time Tony Award Winner, Sutton Foster. This musical, which ran at New York’s American Airlines Theater tells the story of a young disfigured woman who embarks on a journey by bus from her farm in North Carolina, all the way to Oklahoma in order to be seen and hopefully healed by a noted faith-healer. In this production, Emma appeared as a southern gospel-choir member who leads her fellow choir members in a rousing song and dance in praise of Jesus’ name.
